My voice loss is causing all sorts of problems. I put myself on Vocal Probation today to try and regain some of my auditory clout, but it has so far not worked out in any way. SportsVine starts back up Thursday night, and I have to get 3 topics in to Eric by tonight. I didn't go to the Greek Olympics, because I have a lot of financial stuff going on that I want to address before getting incredibly involved with the frat again, like I was last semester.
Update on my voice as of 7:00- my normal speaking is close to normal (I'd say about 75%), but I still have no upper register. Whenever I try to go speak highly, I squeak as if my hormones are going through a New Year's Eve at Times Square. First person to get that receives a Snickers. The IS 44 teacher wasn't there today, so I will have to wait until tomorrow to meet with her. I need to get this taken care of by February 17th, or I will be kicked out of school. I am working hard in classes and especially do not want to leave my friends, so I am trying to get this resolved painlessly. Also, nobody will hire someone who got kicked out of college. Oh, wait, the newspaper thing. I could hire myself. By the way, I talked to my dad about the paper and he said if he learned a couple things about layouts and stuff, he would take over the paper and hire me as Sports Editor. Then I could stay up here and use the little pickup as a News Truck, driving back home whenever I needed to and that would allow me to write-off gasoline as a business expense. Maybe I could take a friend or two back sometimes to hang out. That would be the best-case scenario about a sports editor job, because God knows I'd pour my heart and soul into every minute of that, too.
